NAP CONTACT MEETING May 22nd at unique location Portlantis
"Navigating the Energy Transition together"
Dear member,
The upcoming NAP contact meeting will take place at a beautiful and suitable location, where our supply chain comes ashore and Dutch expertise is prominently showcased.
During the meeting we will take you through the collaboration between the asset owner, engineering partner and contractor, using an innovative and challenging project as an example.
Make sure to join us on May 22nd at the NAP contact meeting, where Shell, Worley, and Bilfinger will present a case study on one of the impactful projects in the Netherlands.
Intro by Dimphy Wilms, Shell
In recent years, we have increasingly come to see the importance of integration and good cooperation across the entire chain in the execution of projects. Especially in today's turbulent world, we hold the key to making a difference. Together we can meet the challenges and celebrate successes, together we make a difference. In the presentations of both Worley and Bilfinger it becomes clear how something like this is put into practice, in a general sense and Holland Hydrogen I in particular.
Dimphy Wilms is the Engineering Manager at Shell Energy & Chemicals Park in Pernis. With a background in Materials Science and Engineering, Dimphy has dedicated her career to the Petrochemical and Power Generation industries, working for both owner companies and contractors.
First presentation: "Green hydrogen: Engineering the Business Case"
Green Hydrogen projects fase significant challenges in their business case. As a result, very few projects pass FID compared forecasts of only a few years ago, in turn making the long-term scale up objectives seem nearly possible. There are many diverse causes of this challenge and equally many proposed solutions, but what role should engineering and supply chain play? Worley and Princeton University's Andlinger Center for Energy and the Environment cooperated to create a framework which explores five key shifts in thinking needed achieve sustainability targets. From this body of work, we aply it to the Green Hudrogen Industry to uncover strategies and approaches in engineering and supply chain which can bring us closer to net zero.
Greg Stock is the director of Worley’s global Green Hydrogen Centre of Excellence based in in The Hague. In this role Greg and his team are innovating in the green hydrogen industry by creating standardized packages, forming collaboration agreements deep into supply chains, and setting up a learning environment.
Second presentation: "Construction of HH1"
As an introduction, we will explain the origins of our Projects department, discuss our construction disciplines and the recent transition to the Bilfinger organization. This will be followed by an introduction of the HH1 project, the construction scope of Bilfinger, the cooperation with the various parties and the challenges we encounter in carrying out this interesting project.
Feike Nauta is responsible for the sale of large construction projects in the Netherlands and Belgium within Bilfinger. Through a number of project assignments in Germany and the Philippines, Feike made the switch to Sales, first for the Haarlem office and later in Bergen op Zoom.
