MEP Cursus 'Management of Engineering Projects 2025

Dear participants,
On Friday June 6th the 'Management of Engineering Projects' course at TU Delft will start again. This is an intensive 5-day course for young engineers from the participating companies. This highly regarded course in the English language is given on five consecutive Fridays in June and July. The course is intended for engineers at HBO/Batchelor and WO/Master level with a maximum of 7 years of project experience in the process industry, energy and/or infrastructure sector.
This unique course offers young engineers the opportunity to learn the tricks of the project management trade in an interactive way. Prof. Wijnand Veeneman (Professor Governance of Infrastructure and Mobility) and prof. Hans Bakker (Emeritus Professor of Management of Engineering Projects), supplemented by guest lecturers from the field, take participants through all phases and aspects of a projects and let them apply the knowledge they have acquired in an appealing case study. Hans Bakker’s book "Management of Engineering Projects - People are Key" serves as a guideline for the course and is included in the course material. Since it is an intensive course, students are asked to spend approximately 8 hours per week on self-study in addition to Fridays, to achieve an effective spend of the available time.
The content of this 5-day course has been coordinated with the Industrial Users Panel, in which companies that sponsor the Leerstoel are affiliated. Sponsors of the Leerstoel can send 2 young engineers for free to the course.
In 2025 non-sponsors can also participate in the course. The costs for participation are Euro 3.095,00 (excluding VAT for NAP participants) and Euro 3.495,00 (excluding VAT) for non-NAP participants.
The course dates in 2025 are always on Friday, location TU Delft: 6, 13, 20, 27 June and 4 July.
