Invitation NAP contact meeting June 13th 2022

UPDATE: NAP members are welcome at de Doelen at 13h15 and can experience a part of the ICEC World Congress. The regular Program still starts at 15h30.

“PREDICTABLE PROJECTS IN A DYNAMIC WORLD"

On Monday June 13th Stichting NAP would like to invite you to join a part of the ICEC World Congress organized by Stichting DACE. NAP has decided to combine part of it’s contact meeting with this unique Congress and it's theme "Predictable Projects in a Dynamic World".

As of 15h30 NAP members are welcomed at the location of the ICEC Congress, ‘de Doelen’ in Rotterdam.

At 16h00 we will first join the Talkshow (of the Congress) that is hosted by Frank van Ewijk (Shell), chairman of NAP. The program of the Talkshow "The challenge from a changing world on the Cost Engineering profession and the professional" is as follows:

• Introduction of the Changing world by 17 SDG's (UN Sustainable Development Goals) and the impact of Sea Rise, Urbanization, Sustainability and Energy Transition.
• Introduction of the Uncertain world; the impact of Political, Economic fluctuations, Pandemic and Cultural aspects on activities and projects.
• “Predictability in a Changing World” a panel discussion in close cooperation with NAP and with members (Ron van den Akker (DSM), Wim Tange (Stork), Gianluca di Castri (Chairman of ICEC), Peter Smith (ICEC Secretary-General) about Scope of Work, Time, Money, Risk impacts, Black Swans, Accuracy
• Questions from the audience

Around 18 o’clock drinks will be available and a buffet will open.

As special guest for the evening Program NAP has invited Stijn Effting of the Port of Rotterdam.

Stijn Effting works for the Port of Rotterdam Authority as New Business Development Manager where he is responsible for the realization of the raw materials transition with and for the Rotterdam process industry. He has been working on the energy transition for more than 12.5 years from various roles: strategy, innovation and business development.

In his presentation, he will explain how the Port of Rotterdam Authority has developed the energy and raw materials transition strategy and how the Port of Rotterdam is working to reduce 55% of the CO2 emitted in the Rotterdam Port and Industry Complex by 2030.

At 8 pm Frank van Ewijk will close our meeting.
